Changes to Newborn Photography Sessions

As a Kansas City Newborn Photographer, I am taking safety precautions suggested by local health authorities while still creating beautiful images of your newborn. A Bundles Newborn Photography Session can be a safe, comfortable time for you and your baby.

How I Help Keep Your Newborn Photography Session Safe

The health and safety of your newborn is my priority, therefore, I’ve added some additional precautions. In addition to standard practices of frequent hand-washing and sanitizing of props, I will also wear a mask. Furthermore, I will also remove my shoes at your door to limit what comes into your home. Rest assured, I am also monitoring my own health and contacts carefully. I will contact you to reschedule your session if I have any cold-like symptoms that don’t respond to allergy medicine within a day before your scheduled session.

How You Help Keep Your Newborn Session Safe

Following best practices for the current conditions, I have to place a few limitations on how your Newborn Session happens. To limit unnecessary contact for the time being, only immediate family members can be included in photos, and no more than 10 people (including me) can be in your house during the session, to abide by required 10/10/10 Rule. This rule also requires me to have the names of all people in the household on the day of the session. If anyone in the household has cold-like symptoms which aren’t remedied with allergy medication within the day before your session, we will need to reschedule your time. I will contact you the night before the session to make sure all of us are healthy.

Some Additional Administrative Changes

In these unusual times, I have had to make a few additional changes to my usual session details, including a COVID-19 Release and Waiver of Liability you must sign in addition to my normal contract. Additionally, payment must be online only, with no cash or checks currently accepted.  And lastly, I will be scheduling sessions at least 24 hours apart to prevent any unnecessary overlap in contact.

Totally Hands-Off Newborn Photography Sessions

These added precautions help to keep us safe, and are in addition to the care I’ve always taken when photographing newborns. I understand, too, how protective we are of our children, especially newborns. If you prefer, I am happy to make your Newborn Lifestyle Session entirely hands-off. We can work together to create the delightful memories you want while limiting my physical contact with your infant.

If you are looking for posed newborn photography, the best time to photograph your newborn is in the first week and a half after being born, so if you’re due soon, go ahead and book a newborn photography session with Bundles Photography today. I can’t wait to capture these precious moments for you in the safest, most comfortable way possible.
